How We Positioned Queen’s Court as More Than Just Another Campus Event
As Director of Marketing for ALPFA Elmhurst University, I approached Queen’s Court as a campaign, not just an event announcement. The goal was to build visibility, credibility, and real engagement around women’s leadership.

When we promoted Queen’s Court at ALPFA Elmhurst University, I did not want the campaign to stop at filling seats. I wanted the event to feel meaningful before people even walked into the room.
As Director of Marketing, my role was to help frame the event clearly: this was not just another panel. It was an opportunity to bring visibility to women’s leadership, create stronger community engagement, and connect students with professionals whose stories could expand what felt possible.
What made this experience valuable to me was seeing how campaign thinking changes execution. Messaging matters. Positioning matters. The way an event is introduced to an audience shapes who pays attention and why.
We were honored to welcome Damian Rivera as moderator and to hear from Linda Xochitl Tortolero, Patricia Mota, Angela Anderson Guerrero, Vania Montero Wit, and Sandra Magallon. I’m proud of what our team built behind the scenes and of the standard we continue to raise in how we market student leadership experiences.
